Please Help These Kitties!

These kitties are homeless. They're living outside in Rhode Island and being fed by our friend Danielle. The man who rents the property where they've been living does not like cats, and has said that he's going to "remove" them from the property. They desperately need to be adopted, fostered, or taken to a no kill shelter as soon as possible.

This kitty (probably female) used to be someone's pet, but she was abandoned when her owners moved. She's very affectionate and purrs when petted. She gets along well with other cats, people and kids.

The fluffy black kitty (probably a boy) is friendly and likes being petted, but not picked up. He purrs and also gets along well with all the other cats.

These two could easily be adopted into forever homes.

This story is breakin' our mom's heart ... she wishes there was sumthin' she could do to help. There is an SPCA by us, but they are already "beyond capacity". Thanks so much to Danielle for takin' care of those sweet kitties; we'll keep our paws crossed that sumbuddy can find help. We are so very sorry that they are goin' thru this.

If I had the money to fly out there and rescue the kitties I would do that in a heartbeat. The tabby female reminds me of my darling lost Rajjah. I miss her so much.
I hope that someone somewhere can help these poor kittys.

Oh, this is just so heart breaking. I would take the black kitty with the white bib, cause he looks so much like Taylor, but I live where pets aren't allowed (don't tell those people about Taylor). I will send emails to friends and relatives and talk to people at work to see if we can save them. This is just so sad.

Hi guys. I wish I could adopt those kitties. As you know, I have plenty of time right now, but no extra money. :(

Merlin and I both posted about this with links to your posts.

Perhaps someone who knows how to set up PayPal can get a special donation going so we can help pay transportation costs for these kitties to find a good home.

If nothing else, and they have to go to Danielle’s local Non-Kill Shelter, a large donation might assure that they find a space (we all know how full our local foster places get). My mommy and daddy are happy to start the donation collection for either way as soon as they know who to give it to!

PS Please see my blog for great news about the shelter mommy volunteers at! If you can, please send the Butler County Commissioners an email or place a call saying “thanks for helping!” (www.butlercountyohio.org - they made it possible). Also, send this information to your local commissioners to help your local shelters. It can be done!

Oh we are so thankful that Danielle has been feeding them. I cannot take in any more cats, but if I can contribute in any other way, let me know. I have put the word out among my friends about these kitties. I am not very optimistice, but we can always hope!

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm from RI and that's how I got my little girl Sophie--she'd more than likely been abandoned by college students and had been living on her own for who knows how long. If I were still there, I would take them.

Has Danielle contacted Alley Cat Allies (http://www.alleycat.org/)? They are exactly the people she needs, and should be able to put her in contact with someone in her area who can help.
