GW

GW update from the Lady:
GW (Gray/White), one of the feral kittens who lives in my mom's backyard, is now all healthy again. He was very good about taking his medicine. My mom would catch him, then I'd wrap him in a towel and hold him while she squirted the medicine in his mouth. Then I'd apologize and give him lots of Temptations. Well, Saturday is The Day - he's going in to get fixed. My mom was worried that he'd be scared and lonely, so LG (Little Gray) is going too. She's a younger kitten, all gray and tabby striped, that just showed up with GW one day. She's not from the same litter, and no one knows where she came from. She really loves GW though. Sometimes GW gets accidentally shut into a neighbor's garage, and LG always comes to get my mom and take her to wherever he is. When he gets released, she rubs her head all over his neck and give him kitty hugs. After these two, we've got to find a way to get Spot and Tiny (GW's littermate sisters) in to the vet too. They've never allowed my mom to pick them up yet. Plus, there are two adult males and the mom cat who has 3 week old kittens somewhere close by. Everybody needs to be fixed. GW and LG are going to the full price vet that I normally use. I'm still trying to find a group willing to help with trapping or costs. The local shelter said that their programs are very low on funds and they didn't have any spay/neuter vouchers to give out. It's very frustrating!

We'd would be pleased to help out with some of the costs. Why not allow us pay for one of the neuters? We are firm believers in T-N-R and can at least help out some. email us at gandalfandgrayson@gmail.com

Good luck to GW. I bet he will do great. They are lucky to have you. We're going to go nominate you all over at Simply Siamese for some of the funds from the fundraiser.

Mom's gonna send your momma a check to help a little bit with the fees for the neuters/spays. She'll put a check into the mail tomorrow.

You are so wonderful to take such good care of the cats! My maid's friend in Maryland has the same situation - all the time cats showing up in their barn - and she catches them all, one after another and fixes them. She found a VET though with a heart for ferals who was willing to do it for cost...

Thanks for the update. We're glad that GW and LW are gonna get fixed, and we'll purr that they have trouble-free surgery and a quick recovery. It must be tough on your Mom, but we'll keep purring that you'll both be able to help all of those kitties who visit her,

It's wonderful what you are doing for these homeless cats ! In Brussels students in veterinarian (?) help to spay stray cats. It's good for them to exercise and good for the cats too. Maybe you can contact vet students ?

Have you checked with local rescue groups who might have low cost spay/neuter vouchers for some local vets? Or see if one of the rescue groups will allow you to use one of their vets. You'll save several hundred on just one cat alone.

Email us your address, and we'll ship you some dough... Very important to get all those poodins fixed.

This is a wonderful thing you are doing and if we had any green papers, we would sure send some. But we can send lots of purrs for your success.

Can you put a Paypal "Donate" button on your page? We could send a few green papers, too.

You're so great to help out these kitties in need.
Bessie has found a litter of five kittens (and obviously the momma will need fixed, too) and our local no-kill shelter no longer gives out low-cost spay/neuter vouchers, either.
